How to track your time
This is a guide on how to track your hours with TRIB via Toggl. Let us know if you feel that there’s anything missing from this guide!
- You will receive an e-mail that invites you to join TRIB’s workspace in Toggl.
- Click the link in the e-mail to accept the invitation.
- Now you’re in – success!
- Now it’s time to track your time. Go to toggl.com/track.
- Click on “Timer” (screenshot below).
- At the top right corner you see a clock icon and a “burger menu”. Click on the “burger menu” to choose manual mode (screenshot below).

- Fill in the fields as indicated by their corresponding letter (screenshot below):
- a. “What have you done?” – the task you have done (example: “button design”). Note: the required level of detail here depends on what you and the client have agreed on.
- b. On the folder icon you will find the project you want to track time for.

- c. You do not have to add filter tags.
- d. You can ignore the dollar sign.
- e. In the first date field, select the day and start time you want to track time for.
- f. In the second time field, select the end time.
- g. When you are done, press the check button to add your time entry.
- h. Repeat steps a-g for all the days you want to report time for.
- (continuation) Fill in the fields from the left (screenshot below):
- On the last day of the month, you have reported for all your hours worked – nice!
- Now it’s time to send the report.
- Go to “Reports” (screenshot below).
- Go to “Project” in the filter bar and select your current project (screenshot below).
- In the date field, select the current month for which you want to report time (screenshot below).
- Then click on the “Download”-icon at the top right and select “Download as PDF”.
- Now you have your report that you should send to time@trib.se with the client on CC.
