Destination Gotland is now looking for an Onboard Experience Manager – known internally as Purser – to join their team and lead the guest experience on board their vessels between Gotland and the mainland.
A unique rhythm of work and rest
This is a key leadership role within the Onboard Service department, reporting to the Chief Purser (Intendent). The Onboard Experience Manager takes operational responsibility for daily service delivery, sales performance, guest satisfaction, and team leadership. Together with the team leaders, they help turn great service into commercial success – all while creating a positive, safe, and memorable onboard atmosphere. The role is also part of the ship’s safety organization and steps in as department head when needed.
The ideal candidate has documented experience in leading service organizations – preferably from the maritime, hospitality, or restaurant sector. They lead with clarity, presence, and care, and know how to inspire others to perform at their best with energy and pride.
