Typical projects include outside-in investor due diligence, optimization of revenue from digital products and services, and competitive benchmarking from the customer’s perspective.
This person will be a leader in design projects and will diagnose customer-related business problems and design the solutions (roadmaps, wireframes and technical specifications). You will take ownership of projects and must manage your own time and deliverables. You will have conversations with management-level clients on a regular basis and your results will be measured often.
Peekerton today consists of Joel Marsh (Founder, Senior UX Architect and Owner) with a Director of Research coming in. The third member of the team that we are looking for will get equity in the company and help build the organization. The company has a unique way of helping their clients approach business analysis from a strategic design perspective and this is an opportunity to be part of building an organization that will probably look more like an architecture firm than a design consultancy.
We know the wishlist is long, but remember, we are looking for a senior UX designer and you still must like “the work”.
The right person has a broad experience from Service and UX Design (analytics, information architecture, wireframing, user testing, interaction design, conversion optimization and hands-on experience with various digital products and business models).
A mixed set of design skills (graphic, art director, branding, UI, interior, architecture) are valuable strengths but not hard requirements. Knowledge of business and/or tech (digital marketing, computer science, psychology, economics, mathematics, finance, etc) is also a huge plus. This role is very analytical and very business/economics oriented, so the person should at least have that type of personality.
You are confident and independent with an analytical, problem solving, pragmatic mind-set. Someone who enjoys a challenge, does not need instructions, is comfortable with uncertainty and constant change with a hands on do:er mentality.
If you are a Senior UX/Service Designer not looking to end up as a fat and happy manager (not designing) or a freelance consultant (stuck career-wise) but would rather work with high level clients, above the company politics, with excellent colleagues, this might be your thing.
As Peekerton grows you will have many career options and all the skills development you can handle. The work is fast, challenging, interesting, and unique!
